Done playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey
I played Assassin's Creed Origins on PS5 because it was one of the game available in PSN Plus library. Turns out I enjoyed it enough to even platinum1 it.
So when Assassin's Creed Odyssey was on sale for Rp62.000, I bought it. This time on Steam platform.
Yesterday I finally got the last trophy required for platinum, but the trophy didn't pop up. Turns out, platinum on Steam is different with console. On Steam, to platinum the game, I would need to get ALL the DLC2 trophies as well.
But I have no intention to buy DLCs. That means no platinum for me, after all the time I've put into the game.
Disappointed? Yes.
Regret? No.
It's still a fun game, and I played it on easy difficulty to enjoy the stories and experiences. One of the funniest mission was the one from Alponos area, where I have to deal with an impostor eagle bearer.
I enjoy infiltrating forts while exploring Greece. Fighting both Athenian and Spartan soldiers. Hunting wild animals, and even some mythical creatures.
Too bad there's no platinum trophy for it, but it is what it is. No need for sunk-cost fallacy. I enjoyed the game and that's enough. Looking forward to play Assassin's Creed Valhalla (Vikings!) and Shadows (Ninjas!).
Also, AC Odyssey was released in 2018. What I like about playing a 7 years old game is that most in-game bugs are gone. It's also cheap, and we can get all sort of in-game bonus items over the years. Awesome.
What's next? A Plague Tale: Innocence, released in 2019.
