How I (plan to) journal in 2025
During my trip to Japan last November, I found out about Hobonichi planners. For 2025, I decided to use 3 journals, all by Hobonichi.
One A6 size daily planner for personal daily journal.
One A6 size original planner for professional daily journal.
One A5 size 5 years journal for key events, both personal and professional.
Daily entries separated between personal and professional. The most essential events, will be re-written into the 5 years journal.
Entries in the 5 years journal will be re-typed as plain markdown files. Back-up to cloud.
Why? Writing manually let me practice my handwriting. Separate personal and professional journal entries. I learn to pick the essential before writing it into the 5 year journal. Over 5 years, I will be able to see the changes I went over the years.
By re-typing and storing my entries as markdown files, it will be compatible with most text editor. And with cloud backup, I don't have to worry if anything happens to the physical journals.
The downside is of course, the time and effort in doing so.
We'll see how it goes.
