Joplin for second brain
I'm curious. My curiosity is like sacred timeline branch when Loki mess with it. Sometimes it's just a momentarily interest. Othertimes, it last for weeks, months, or even years. With so much information consumption, I felt like I need to "hoard" them for future references. You know, just in case.
But most of the time, I hoard them, and because they are poorly organized, it's hard to find the information I need. In the end, it's just a pile of texts. Kept and forgotten.
Until I read Tiago Forte's book, Second Brain.
It was brilliant. The system is simple, and easy to apply. I tidy up my Evernote notes. Then I moved to Apple Notes, because I don't want to pay for Evernote premium membership. I'm trying to reduce the number of apps I'm installing in my phone as well. But Apple Notes is tied to the Apple ecosystem. I need multi-platform compatibility.
Then I found Joplin. So far, it has everything that I need.
Joplin can multi-sync to my devices. No premium membership. Joplin sync to Dropbox, and I use Dropbox for work anyway. Joplin can cater to the P.A.R.A method as well.
Now I just need to combine all my previous notes to Joplin, while curating them.
By the way, I use Joplin for my daily journal writing as well.
