Indra's Micro Blog

Plain HTML in 2025

I've been reading about the small web movement for awhile. Small web, indie web, whatever you want to call it.

I'm lucky that I'm able to experience the evolution of internet from the OG dial-up era. During my uni years, ICQ, mIRC, Friendster, Geocities were the bombs. I learned to host my own website, from writing plain html, to using overly complicated Macromedia Dreamweaver to build website.

I spent more time struggling with Dreamweaver than actually write.

Last week I read about Louie from Manuel's P&B series. One of Louie's post, "make a damn website" really inspire me.

It's the final kick that I need.

So today, I signed up for a domain, created 2 entries and 1 index.html page with plain html, and write my own RSS feed manually.

I'm happy to announce that today, 11 Sep 2025, indragm.dev has been born.

My nerdy alter-ego will move there.

Looking forward to the journey.
