Social media detox review
It has been a month since I decided to quit social media, including Instagram and Youtube.
I felt better.
I’ve been journalling more consistently. Learning to code and linux again. Got in touch with old friends through email. I’ve started to read books more consistent.
News from curated RSS sources. Started to refer to reddit for interesting topics, but realize this could be another black hole, so I thread carefully.
Sometimes I still open Instagram on weekends and desktop only mode. I only followed 9 creators and wish I can use RSS for their contents, but it seems Instagram has limit it.
Opened Youtube when I need video instructions. I’ve marked few videos as “watch later” but I often can’t be bothered to watch it in the end.
I will continue. Will review again at the end of July.
