Taking shortcuts

Where we live, people love to take shortcuts.

They'll judge and laugh on people who don't take shortcut.

They drove 10m against traffic, than going around 1km the right way. They cut queue. They bribe to skip test and get license faster. They invest in speculation, hoping for a faster, bigger return.

As long it's in their own interest.

Yet they don't like it when it's not.

When others drive against the traffic and pose danger to them. When others cut their queue and get served first. When malpractice happened without proper license. When the investment turns out to be a scam.

Why don't they like it when it's not for their own interest? It's just another people taking shortcuts like they did. It's just a different point of view.

In a country where shortcuts are so commonly practiced, it can be really hard not to take any. The game is rigged.

But one can always choose to take less shortcuts.
